Winfield Farm is located seven miles south of Siler City and run by Kristy and Rich Church. Winfield was a family name, and we discovered means a “friend of the fields” in the original Prussian. This name fit the manner in which we are striving to farm, respecting the land and animals as God’s good creation and gift to us. We feel it is a gift to be stewards of this place on earth and relish, the beauty, challenge, and wonder of each day of farming. We are currently raising hogs, sheep, goats, chickens and turkeys, and beef cows all on pasture. We broadly follow principles of sustainable agricultural, including free-range pasture based livestock, rotational grazing, eschewing chemical based fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides, and no use of preventative or routine antibiotics or medicated feeds.
